British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt will relocate its head office to The Forge in Bankside. The move headlines a wave of new lettings at The Forge, with Landsec signing over 61,000 sq ft of space across six deals as demand for sustainable, high-quality workspace continues to grow.
Charles Tyrwhitt will relocate its 240 strong head office team across 18,680 sq ft, choosing The Forge for its sustainability credentials, smart design and prime Bankside location. The move marks a significant strategic shift for the brand, aligning its workplace with long-term environmental goals and evolving ways of working.
Alongside Charles Tyrwhitt’s head office relocation, new occupiers include Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions and data and analytics group, Zema Global. These new arrivals will sit alongside existing customers such as Macmillan Cancer Support and Carbon Clean, signaling rising demand for sustainable workspace in central London that meets both commercial and climate needs. Only two office units totaling 17,000 sq ft now remain, they are available as fully fitted Created space.
Oliver Knight, Head of Workplace at Landsec said: “The Forge is proving that sustainability and commercial appeal go hand in hand. These latest lettings, led by Charles Tyrwhitt’s head office relocation, highlight the growing importance organisations place on net zero buildings that support long-term environmental goals while providing an exceptional working environment.
“The Forge sets a new standard for workspace, attracting ambitious businesses with its excellent amenities, transport connections, and sustainability focus.”
Luke Kingsnorth, Chief Executive Officer at Charles Tyrwhitt added: “The Forge is the perfect fit for the future of Charles Tyrwhitt - combining sustainability, design excellence and an unbeatable location fits perfectly with our culture and values. Relocating our head office here supports both our ambition to provide an outstanding workplace for our people and environmental commitments. We’re proud to be part of a development that reimagines exceptional office space.”
Located in Bankside, between London Bridge, Waterloo and Blackfriars, The Forge brings together bold architecture, low-carbon construction and vibrant public space. It was designed by Piercy & Co and Bryden Wood and delivered by a joint venture between Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine.
The Forge is part of Landsec’s wider portfolio of high-quality, sustainable and well-located workspaces with excellent amenities to support our customers’ business priorities. Landsec’s next Bankside development at Timber Square, a 370,000 sq ft net zero office scheme with two buildings and extensive public realm, will complete later this year - delivering the tallest hybrid CLT development in Europe and establishing a new destination in the heart of Bankside.
Leasing agents for The Forge are CBRE and Union Street Partners.
